Blog #2: On/Off Experiment
The on/off experiment is rather a regular practice for me than a new experiment because I almost only get to exit technology in artful ways. Usually when I work on art and crafts, anything digital other than music can be distracting for me, so I would unconsciously disregard my devices during the process.
Since Chinese New Year was approaching, I decided to take the chance of the on/off practice to craft some spring festival decorations. I made a good luck charm with felt sheets and sewing without interacting with my digital devices, but I did pick up my phone to take some pictures only for documentation purposes.
Sewing without distractions from technology definitely helped me to stay more focused and achieve better craftsmanship and efficiency.
